This year’s scientific programme will feature more than 20 sessions dedicated to the key topics in the field of Blood Transfusion. The theme of the congress is : Reducing Maternal and Newborn Mortality: The Role of Blood Transfusion. This provides for a wide range of topics in and related to blood transfusion that will capture the interests of all professionals in the field of blood transfusion.

ABOUT THE CONGRESS

AfSBT Arusha 2018 Congress will bring together world experts in blood transfusion, policymakers and other key stakeholders who all have a role to play in the field of transfusion medicine and science. The Congress is expected to be attended by more than 350 delegates and shall be an ideal setting to network with other professionals in the field, renew friendships, make acquaintances and present your work. There will be an exhibition of the latest technology (equipment, devices and consumables) of use in a modern-day blood transfusion service, from 36 companies. There will also be time after the event to visit the wonders of the beautiful hosting country.

Within the same compound as the Tanzania Convention Centre, nestled between Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro, the Ngurdoto Mountain Lodge is located within a lush coffee plantation stretching over 140 acres, with natural streams flowing from Mount Meru passing through the property.
