Invitation to public lecture on antibiotic resistance – 14 November 2018

As part of the World Antibiotic Awareness Week which runs from the

12th to the 18th November, the AMR National Core Group in

collaboration with the Institute of Continuing Health Education (ICHE)

shall be hosting a public lecture on antibiotic resistance. Please

find attached the invitation poster for the event which will be held

at the UZ College of Health Sciences which is located behind

Parirenyatwa Hospital.

Antimicrobial resistance in general, and antibiotic resistance in

particular, have emerged as the largest public health threat of modern

times. If left unchecked, drug resistance will result in millions of

deaths globally and drastic reductions in the global GDP. Public

awareness and education on resistance is therefore critical to

stemming the tide of this public health threat.

We look forward to your attendance.
